Registration for the Spring 2024 season starts February 1, 2024. The Spring 2024 season starts March 31and ends May 27. You must register through the below website. To be eligible, you MUST have either Hunter Safety Certification OR have taken the Illinois State High School Clay Target League’s (ISHSCTL) online SAFE course.
To begin the account/profile creation and registration for the Spring 2024 season, go to https://www.claytargetscoring.com/ and follow the below steps.
1. Select the Athlete Management System link.
2. MHS Youth: Create a new account/profile. Use Team ID mid659 when creating account/profile
IVC Youth: New team shooters create a new account/profile (Returning Team members will login using your existing Athlete ID and Password) Use Team ID val287 when creating account/profile
3. The MHS and IVC Trap Teams will send an invitation to youth
4. Login to Athlete Management System (AMS) using ID and Password created above and finish registration. Registration is $45 per athlete

April 15: Conferences announced and State Tournament registration opens
April 21: Competition Week 1 (Wednesday evening make up and Practice)
April 28: Competition Week 2 (Wednesday evening make up and Practice)
May 03: State Tournament registration closes at noon CT
May 05: Competition Week 3 (Wednesday evening make up and Practice)
May 12: Competition Week 4 (Wednesday evening make up and Practice)
May 19: Competition Week 5 (Wednesday evening make up and Practice)
May 26: Fun Week begins
May 27: Season final results posted by 5:00pm CT
May 28: National Championship registration opens for TIER 1
May 30: National Championship registration opens for TIER 2 (if applicable)
June 03: National Championship registration opens for TIER 3 (if applicable)

The IVC and MHS High School Trap Teams will have competition night every week starting the week of March 31 through May 27. All events will take place at the Chillicothe Sportsmen’s Club. Days and times will be announced. You can be on the High School Trap Teams and still play a spring sport!
League Night Shooting Registration
There will be no pre-registration. Registration for the first relay will start at 3:45 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. First relay will commence firing the match at 4:00 p.m. or when we have 1 coach and 1 RSO for each 5-person squad.
Course of Fire
Up to 5 person teams will shoot 5 rounds from the 5 different 16-yard positions for a total of 25 birds. Each league shooter will be required to shoot two 25 round scores to qualify for the league shoot. Total Possible Score: 50 birds straight.
Safety
All competitors will be required to wear ear & eye protection. NO EXCEPTIONS. Ear & eye protection will be available at the range for a small donation. There will be no horse-play allowed on the Chillicothe Sportsmen’s Club grounds. Inappropriate actions will result in dismissal from the Club grounds. Any inappropriate handling of a firearm while on the shooting line or in the preparation area will result in immediate dismissal from the team.
Firearm Requirements
Any 12- or 20-gauge shotgun in good mechanical order may be used for the high school trap league. The shotgun must be capable of firing 2 ¾” target loads. Under Illinois FOID laws, anyone under 18 years of age may not transport a firearm in a motor vehicle.
Ammunition
Fifty rounds of club ammunition (12 or 20 gauge) will be issued to registered shooters.
Supervision
Club officials / instructors will ensure compliance with the requirements for qualification.
Scoring
Competitors will be scored by a trained scorer.
Entry Fee
High School Trap Club Youth (ages 13 to 18):
League: $8.00 (50 birds with 50 shells)
