MAUSER MATCHES

Next match is September 30, 10AM, Range 1.  Come early if you want to shoot the first relay.  In August the first relay was full at 9:15.  The Special Challenge Match will be for SKS rifles.

Mauser Match rules are center-fire rifles with open sights, but we have added the rifle class "Ordonnanzgewehr" using the German rules, unaltered military bolt action infantry repeating rifles, for the remainder of this year.  This opens the shooting to the M1903-A2, M1917, Enfield No. 4's, Arisakas, FR-8s, etc.

2006 King's Shoot:  Max Koehl, the reigning Schuetzenkoenig, will host the annual King's Shoot, the Bird Shoot and the Rim-fire Speed Match on November 12th at Range #1.  All you need to bring is a .22 rimfire rifle, preferably a semi-automatic, sufficient ammunition, and eye and ear protection.  Max will provide some food and refreshments.  Mark your calendars for this chance to experience some centuries' old Germanic shooting traditions and to have some good shooting camaraderie.  Call Max Koehl @ (309) 385-1033 or Paul Bishop @ (309) 579-2914 for more information.

 Questions – contact Max Koehl @ (309) 385-1033.
