It is not absolutely necessary to return your old gate key, however old gate keys in good condition can be re-keyed.  It would be appreciated if you would deposit your old keys in the mailbox in front of the Club House.  This action will help save the Club money.  Thank you.

WORK DAY & WORK HOURS

DO YOU NEED 2003 and/or 2004 WORK HOURS?  IF YOU DO, YOU CAN EARN SOME OR ALL OF THEM!

The Club needs a dump truck to haul dirt, gravel, etc., to the Pistol Range.  Contact Kevin Monk @ (309) 443-5339 for details.

Our Club’s Sixth Annual Koenigsschiessen (KING’S Shoot) will take place on December 13th immediately following the Mauser Match (around 11:30 a.m.) on Range #1.  Last year’s Schuetzenkoenig Max Koehl will host the match.  Each shooter will take one shot at a wooden target, provided by KING Koehl, with the same rifle, which will also be provided by KING Koehl.  The winner wins the Ehrenscheibe and becomes the Schuetzenkoenig (KING your name) for the next year.  ALL CLUB MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE.  Cost is $3.00 per shooter.  There will be refreshments after the match.  Questions – contact Max Koehl @ (309) 385-1033.

This year’s Vogelschiessen (BIRD Shoot) will be shot concurrently with the December 13th Mauser Match (10:00 a.m.) on Range #1.  Bring your rim-fire rifle (any type sights) chambered for .22 short, long, long rifle with a 50-meter zero and some ammo to shoot at the Koenigsadler (Wooden King’s Eagle).  Shooters line up and contribute $1.00 to the pot for each 5 shots fired at the eagle.  The shooter who shoots the eagle off its perch, or cuts off the largest piece of the eagle wins the pot money and the title “Vogelkoenig” (BIRD KING) for the next year.  ALL CLUB MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE.  Questions – contact Paul Bishop @ (309) 579-2914.
